jagWIRELESS Receives Nebraska Public Service Commission Grant
jagWIRELESS recently applied for a broadband grant to construct a wireless Internet system in Nemaha County. Working
with the Nemaha County Development Alliance (NCDA), jagWIRELESS compiled
county facts, service needs, and infrastructure
requirements and then presented a justification, to the PSC, for a network build out. After careful review, the PSC
has awarded jagWIRELESS just over $76,000 in matching funds. "We are extremely excited about this project and
the implications for Nemaha County" said
Bob Hrbek, president of jagWIRELESS. "A lot of time and effort went into the grant application and I think we, and
Nemaha county, owe a debt of gratitude to the NCDA for their help and encouragement while we pursued this grant. It
isn't often that we have the opportunity to work with such a fine group of people and I hope the residents of
Nemaha realize the value of the NCDA", said Hrbek. jagWIRELESS expects to be providing services by mid May in Brock,
Julian, Peru, Brownville and Nemaha. Services will also be available in areas near Auburn and Johnson. jagWIRELESS
expects to expand the system later this year throughout the remainder of Nemaha County.
